Yesterday, 8th September 2008, Hanif came over to shoot our latest video and discuss how we can help drive more business his way. We started by revisiting what we do and I explained to Hanif the best way forward. How often do you find yourself covering the same ground to reinforce understanding? It takes time to get the message home, we all have so many things going on in our brains today. We have to pick the kids up at 3pm, sort this out for a client by 2pm, make an appointment with them by then and so on. So trying to understand and retain information to do with other subjects that are not our core business takes time. You need to give yourself the room to understand just a little bit, not the whole mechanics.
You can’t be an expert at everything and you shouldn’t want to be. Hanif and I complement each other in this respect. He is the man with the camera skills, I’m the man with the web skills and we combine these to make a team that can help you fly! Hanif and I worked on www.personalbusinesscoach.co.uk together, one that really does the job well as we had in Martin, a subject that was willing to give of his best and make our jobs that much easier. So to yesterday and the latest video creation for BinB and Promotional Micro Sites. I do find, for me, it works to simply be myself and just let the words flow at random as they do! If scripted I would miss bits and it would annoy me, bringing me to a grinding halt. By simply giving my brain a few steps in front of itself, by breathing, I find that I can listen to what I’ve said and change direction as required in real time to ensure I encapsulate all the elements I am looking to share.
